Why Honeymoons Beat Peanut Butter on Pancakes
April 15, 2015

It seems lately that we are coming across a lot of couples that have decided to save money and skip the honeymoon. Practical, yes. Wise, no. The truth is, weddings gobble up money like a starving ogre , and more often than not, the bride and groom are carrying their lions share of the cost. Instead of including a fun filled, relaxing trip to Cozumel, they are opting for favors for the guests and a two entree option of beef or chicken. While this may seem like agreat idea at the time, it appears lack luster after the dust has settled and you have finally become Mr. & Mrs. Ladies, (particurlarly the "I can do it all myself" types), please lend me your ear...don't do it! Skip the chocolate fountain and take your well deserved and much needed honeymoon.
It is important.
It is important for you.
It is important for your marriage.
It is important for humanity (seriously)!
Let's face it ladies, weddings can be stressful. It is possible that you might see sides of your sweet family that make you think you have stepped onto an episode of the X Files. After the sparklers have gone out, you and your overnight bag, need to be heading to a destination that you and your sweetie can just relax. It doesn't really matter where (although, at a minimum, I would recommend getting out of the state), just a spot to hug, kiss and enjoy your favorite cocktail. The only real way to have that first year newlywed experience, is to start it off right! Make it a point to include a honeymoon in your wedding budget! If other things have to go to accomodate, so be it. Believe me, no one will even remember that you hand out the most perfect favor at the end of the night. They are at your wedding to celebrate you and all of the hard work that wes put into having your fabulous soiree. Now, reward yourself and hop on a plane.
